Policy and procedures statement will be customized for each employer's needs as they relate to:

Bargaining units, if needed
Policy and procedures should include, but not be limited to:
A policy and procedure for returning injured employees to the workplace. This to be communicated in writing, and in a timely manner, to all employees and collective bargaining representatives.
An employer's statement of commitment through this program to provide safe, gainful, and meaningful employment to employees as soon as medically possible following an on-the-job injury or illness.
An employer's statement to make reasonable efforts to accommodate the employee's work-related injury or illness through this program such that the post-injury job placement is consistent with the employee's functional abilities. It is the goal of the employer to offer the employee alternative suitable and available work that is comparable in nature and earnings to the employee's pre-injury job
